Abstract
This paper explores the problem of meeting professional association member needs at the local level. Three functions of local affiliates of national professional associations are identified (networking, access to information, professional skills development). Then, the Central Texas Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration is evaluated in light of these functions. Chapter members were surveyed.
