Abstract
The purpose of the research is to describe the degree of importance current city managers place on their knowledge, skills, and abilities using the NASPAA common curriculum components for professional masteršs degree education. Curriculum components are used to assist in the NASPAA accreditation or re-accreditation process for universities across the United States. The methodology involves surveying current city managers operating in small cities of population 25,000 or less via e-mail. Descriptive statistics, as in percentages and modes, are used for describing the responses. The results indicate a majority of city managers believe a majority of the NASPAA curriculum components are very important in their roles.
